Ingredients

Check you have the quantities below.

  • 1 1/2 cups whole green moong beans, soaked 4 hours
  • 1 inch piece ginger
  • 1 small green chilli
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 tbsp oil

Let’s make it

  1. Drain the soaked moong and blend with ginger, chilli, salt, and cumin into a smooth batter using a little water.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and lightly oil it.
  3. Spread the batter thinly into 4 dosas and cook until the edges lift, then flip briefly.
  4. Top with onion and cilantro, fold, and cook 1 minute more.
  5. Serve hot with chutney.

For kids, use less chilli and serve with mild coconut chutney.
