Baked Feta with Tomatoes

30 minutes · 4 servings · vegetarian

Baked feta with tomatoes is a very familiar Greek mezze or light lunch.

Ingredients

Check you have the quantities below.

  • 12 oz / 340 g feta block
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 4 pita bread

Let’s make it

  1. Heat oven to 400 F / 200 C. Place the feta and tomatoes in a small baking dish.
  2. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with oregano and pepper.
  3. Bake 20 minutes until the tomatoes burst and the feta softens.
  4. Serve hot with pita bread for dipping.

Let the dish cool a few minutes before serving so the cheese is easier for children to scoop.

Cooking time varies with equipment and batch size. Follow school allergy rules for children’s meals; keep perishable lunches cold.
