Ingredients

Check you have the quantities below.

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1/4 tsp fine salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp chopped chives or parsley

Let’s make it

  1. Beat the eggs with milk, salt, pepper, and herbs until smooth.
  2. Melt the butter in a nonstick skillet over medium-low heat.
  3. Pour in the eggs and gently stir with a spatula over medium-low heat until the eggs are fully set throughout with no liquid on top, about 4–5 minutes.
  4. Fold the omelette in half, slide onto plates, and serve right away.

Let kids sprinkle the herbs on top after cooking.

Cooking time varies with equipment and batch size. Follow school allergy rules for children’s meals; keep perishable lunches cold.
