Ingredients

Check you have the quantities below.

  • 1 1/2 lb / 680 g boneless chicken thighs
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 3 tbsp water

Let’s make it

  1. Whisk the soy sauce, sugar, water, garlic, and ginger.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high and cook the chicken 5-6 minutes per side until browned and the internal temperature reaches 165 F / 74 C.
  3. Pour in the sauce and simmer 2-3 minutes, turning the chicken until glossy and coated.
  4. Slice and serve over rice with broccoli.
  5. Spoon extra sauce over the bowl.

Slice the chicken into small pieces and serve the sauce lightly for a kid-friendly bowl.
